The Bachelor of Education Management is a four-year undergraduate programme with various courses to train student teachers in areas of teaching, curriculum development, technology, Institutional Leadership and management among others. The program is suitable to all individuals intending to be employed as an academic administrator, coordinator and director within the public and private education. Our graduate from this programme will graduate with skills in leadership, management, teaching, curriculum design, staff monitoring and evaluation.
On successful completion of this programme, graduates are expected to be able to:
1. Equip students to develop the characteristics and skills necessary for exemplary educational leadership
2. Train students in leadership and management models that can be adopted in learning institutions
3. Analyse the components behind making sound educational decisions
4. Prepare students for effective organization and administration of schools and education

1. 100% online via Online Campus (an interactive online learning environment) with intensive class discussion and collaboration.

Admission Requirements
The applicants must possess:
• 5 O’ Level Credits or better.
• Equivalent to 5 O’ Level Credits for international students
• Advanced level (“A” level) passes in at least 3 relevant subjects
• Diploma from a recognised university OR college
• A period of service and experience in the program applied for shall be considered for mature entrants

Therefore, the course provides student teachers with a well-rounded education that equips them with the required subject content knowledge base, teaching competence, a sound and deep understanding of the integrated nature of theory and practice in education and the context of the teaching profession in Zambia. The programme focuses specifically on child development, literacy, numeracy (mathematics) and the knowledge that underpins life skills.

1. Teach the early childhood curriculum (numeracy, literacy and life-skills) proficiently
2. Use advanced literacy skills for teaching
3. Support and nurture learning and development in diverse educational contexts.

5. Formulate a personal teaching philosophy and critically reflect on their teaching philosophy and how it relates to teaching conduct.

The purpose of this course is achieved by providing student teachers with a well-rounded education that equips them with the required subject content knowledge base, teaching competence, a sound and deep understanding of the integrated nature of theory and practice in education and the context of the teaching profession in Zambia. The programme focuses specifically on child development, literacy, numeracy (mathematics) and the knowledge that underpins life skills.

1. Teach at least a minimum of three school subjects from the following subject in accordance with learners’ needs and the requirements of the school curriculum.
2. Support and nurture learning and development in diverse educational contexts.
3. Teach fundamental mathematical concepts which underpin the Intermediate Phase school curriculum.
4. Identify and address barriers to learning in the classroom.
